Hi all ...
Today, I did Maths Tutorial in the afternoon and then went out with SP and Ql to watch movie"TWILIGHT". It was quite Nice, I like the fighting part.
Today's blog is not about the outing but A LESSON LEARNT TO ME
Everything was going very well from the movie to shopping.
This is where a $7 dinner lesson was taught to me.
We went to ez-link foodcourt to buy food back home to eat and my money was being cheated. Ql and Sp were buying other food whlie I am alone buying my food.
Everyone! Please be EXTRA CAREFUL when u Patronise the MIXED VEGETABLE stall beside Korea food!!! They judge their costomers and charged them with DIFFERENT prices! Especially be more ALERT when u are a Young adult/ Teenager. I did asked why was it so expensive and was reluctant to pay. Then when i got back to my friends, i don't know whether Ql noticed that something was wrong with me because my facial expression changed although I acted nothing happen and all. And as my close friends knew, Ql knew from my facial expression whether I am lying anot. When I reached home, I told my Mum and Dad and my MuM taught me that I can just walked away and don't buy. It is EXTORTION!!! Of course, my heart hurts(Xin tong) for $$$. However, I am even more heartbreaking is that I was being CHEATED! This is the first time I ate with great regrets. My vision on TV was blurred, my tears were dripping down and the rice I ate was SALTY. Also, I forced and stuffed myself to eat even though I am full.
I felt FULL OF REMORSEFUL AND GUILTY because:
1) I let my parents down by being cheated of $$ given our current situation.
2) I am so STUPId to get cheated.
3) Why the person had to cheat me? I saw another "true colours" of the ruthless people, the society.
Sometimes I wondered, why am I being Cheated? Am I really so NAIVE like what my PW teacher had said about me? Am I being stupid to get cheated? Is it really we cannot always TRUST others(strangers)? Am I too Trusting? Can somebody answer me? Is it that i think of the world, the society and the people too SIMPLE??? Sometimes I wondered, AM I "BEN" or "CUN" ???
Tonight, I wont be able to sleep, I will definitely be pondering over all these.
After some long and deep reflecting during the night, I have a Conclusion! =D

Hi all ...
Christmas CAROLing...
Today, we went to hospice(HCA) for Christmas caroling. We were early by about half an hour and I heard the sound of playing MAHJONG, the clients are playing. I was a bit tempted as I very long never play Mahjong already. After that, we used the extra time to brief on what are we doing, introduction and discussion. Finally, we went in and each of us has to sit beside/ in front of clients so as to interact with them. I entertained 2 of them because there was not enough of us(students) initially but later 1 of the students do not have a client and so she help to entertain one for me and so I only concentrate on my particular client. Without any notice, the girl who is supposed to help me entertain one of the 2 clients went off to find her friend and both of them together looked after only 1 client. I was a bit slow because when the seesion was going to end then I started to wonder why the client has no student sitting beside her. Then never mind, I just try to talk and interact with both of them. Firstly, we played the same thing as yesterday, the "MUSICAL BALL" and my client has the ball in her hand when the music stop so both of us had to go out and sing. After that, we sang 3 Christmas songs (Caroling) to them and followed with games. However, many of the clients did not understand the games and so some of them were bored. Besides that, riddles were asked and now even I also don't understand a few of them, moreover the clients. Then, we continued with Caroling, 3 more Christmas songs sang and we ended off with MERRY CHRISTMAS. Nevertheless, we gave them a token and our teachers were being sabotage us to sing a Christmas song too. =) Finally, we thanked them and shake hands with them, biding farewell.
We were given a debrief and we wrote our reflections and gave it to our teacher. Our teacher(Miss Woo) told us that she hopes everyone of us will become a community leader at the end of 2 years in CCC, not just the EXCOS. She hopes all of us, each and everyone of us, to be able to take the intiative and step forward to lead in the near future. Actually, this Christmas Caroling, we (CCC) do not have any leader(EXCO) with us and so the whole event were lead by the choir members and all of us (CCC members) just tagged along. So, our teacher observed that and so she said that. Moreover, she also said that we are not open enough to interact with the people,SHY. Anyway, we did ENJOYED Ourselves!!! and so did the CLIENTS!!! =D

Hi all ...
This is two pictures of me wearing the newly bought Christmas Hat for our visits and as Christmas CAROLS. Today was our visit to IMH (Institution of Mental Health) to sing Christmas SONGS and to bring JOY to them. When we reached IMH, we were given a briefing by the person-in-charge. Firstly, all of us will sing Christmas songs in 2 particular wards and then separate into 2 groups to interact and play games with the people. Initially, when we just stepped into the ward, we(most of us) were intimidated and frightened as the people were rushing to come out behind the doors, something like the cats saw mice which gave us a shock. Then, after that, as they were asked to sit on chairs and we felt more secure and gradually we were not so scare and we started our SinGing. As we sing one song after another, we consistently made an effort to smile and maintain eye contact with them.We could saw on their facal expression that they are enjoying themsleves with their SMILES and some of them sing along with us. next, we left for another ward and did the same thing: Singing. After that, we were split into 2 groups to play some games with them. The people and a few of us(including me) sat in the circle and play the games along with them. Firstly, some of them LOVE to sing as they keep coming out of their seats and sing songs to everyone and a particular uncle LOVE to dance. Then, we played MUSICAL BALL with them. Actually, Musical Ball is similar to Musical Chair, just that we replaced the chair with ball. Those who had the ball in their possession when the music stops will have to Sing/Dance. Everyone was enjoying it! =) Following, we also played "SIMON SAYS" and some of them do not seems to understand this game but it is alright, just HAVE FUN! Last but not least, we teached them "Chicken Dance" and ended up forming a very long "HOOT HOOT TRAIN". Finally, we gave them cookies and sing 1 final song to them and shake each of their hands, wishing them "MERRY CHRISTMAS" and we left, waving "GOoDBYE!"
Reflection
Actually, they are Really NORMAL People like each and everyone of us. Although from their appearance, we may know that they are not mentally well but as long as they take medication they are harmless. I feel that actually they are very pitiful and lonely because they LOVE visitors and wanted attention, warmth from the people. This is because the society are scare of them due their mental health which they are kind of deprive off in the society. Anyway, nobody would want to become mentally-ill but there are always some unfortuates. In my opinion, they may be due to stress brought by the society that cause them to become mentally unwell and then the society just isolate them and create a social norm against them. Isn't it IRONIc?

Hi all ...
Yo! everyone.. today I am going to update all of you more about what I am doing these few days, after the camp had ended. EXCITED TO KNOW!?? haha..=)
Here it goes:
I went to school on this wednesday(10 dec) and friday(today) from 9am to 12pm for SINGING sessions. Wondered why did I go singing?? This is because I am involved in the Christmas CAROLing on 15 and 16 dec. This is part of my CCA and we will be going together with the Choir members. Actually, we can choose to go for Chirstmas Carol or LEGOS but Yeehui and I were put into CAROLS. I think it will be FUN!!! We will be bringing JOY and HAPPINESS to the people on IMH and hospice.

Tues(16 dec)- Hospice near Tan Tock Seng Hospital
Then today, I met Sean(president of CCC), Desmond and Desmond's choir friend( his hair looked like the Hana Kimi Dao Ming Si) coincidently at bus 72 bus stop. Sean asked me about fri camp at AWWA and we chat for a while as he was having fever and was unable ot attend. Then he said he came to school today to have a discussion with our CCA teacher. Next, he suddenly asked me that "are u form LF( lessfortunate community)?" I knew what he was going to asked me and i give him a stare. He was going to asked me whether I would like to be the HEAD OF LF community, meaning giving me a leadership role in CCA because LF head did not made it to J2 so have to replace. I don't know how to replied and just said "don't know". If it was last time( beginning of the Year), I would most probably agree because I went for the interview to be an EXCO, hoping to have a leadership role in CCA but was not chosen. However, now I am CONTENTED and SATISFIED with being just a member in the CCC and I enjoyed being just a member. I do not have the initial desire to have a position in the community anymore. I just want to enjoy myself in all the activities organised. just let nature take its course! =D
Btw, due to the weather change, I was down with a flu these few days too but I am feeling better now.
I'll be updating more after my CAROLing in IMH and Hospice. Cant wait to SING! =)

Hi all ...
2nd Day of the Sibling Camp- LAST DAY!!!
Today's session was not as tiring as yesterday because we have OUTINGS!!!
Today, we have no briefing so I went a bit later than yesterday. When I boarded the bus 72 , I thought that I would be late as it was 8.15am already and we have to reach AWWA at 9am. According to bus journey, it should take about 40 min to reach Hougang point and I still need to walk to AWWA so I messaged Yeehui that I will be late(just in case). Sean(president) was sick today, heard that he had a FEVER. Take Care. Then, we set off at 9.15am to SPD(Society for Physically Disabled). We saw the gadgets/devices which can be connected to computers and toys to assist the disabled children to play/use according to their disabilities. Moreover, we also visited some of them doing exercise, trying very hard to move their uncontrollable hands. Besides, some of the better conditioned adults were using whatever they can to earn their own income for living. They were folding plastic bags and packaging them properly for sale despite their difficulties physically. Although they were slow in completing 1 products such as taking about 10min to finish, I think that they deserve our admiration and compliment because of their attitude towards life and perseverance. Most of them were very jubliant to see us too, maybe because they like visitors or they rarely have visitors. I learnt quite a lot from SPD such as knowing how they earn a living based on their own ability, knowlegde of gadgets which help to ease and reduce their disabilities and how they slowly, gradually , bit by bit improvments on their disabilities.
Next, we went to HealthZone. When we just stepped into it, the place was in chaos and noisy like a supermarket. The children were running, playing, touching almost everything they came across. Then, we went further inside and try on many things.
Everyone was HAVING FUN!!! and LEARNING!!! at the same time.
After that, we went back to AWWA for Macdonald's HAPPY MEAL as lunch. No! U did not read wrongly, We( JC students) ate HAPPY MEAL??!! U are CORRECT=D Next, the volunteers have organised some activities for the children and we(facilitators) just joined in and help them. Last but not least, the parents arrived and the children performed short scenes relating to the physically disabilities people so as to allow them to know better of their own disabled sibling's problems, feelings and how society view them and so on... Finally, we have the prize-giving. The group, which Yeehui and I are in as facilitators, came in SECOND!!!=)
"WHATEVER"(group name) WELL_DONE!!!
We went AWWA to lend a hand but we did not go home empty handed. We were given a $5 popular voucher and a microphone RADIO each. =)
Lastly, we took some photos and went home at 6pm.

Hi all ...
SIBLING CAMP AT AWWA (Asian Women Welfare Association)
Today and tomorrow will be a long day. We have to stay at AWWA from morning to evening for the 2 days. This is a camp which is to teach the normal children how to look after their own disabled siblings. Also, this is a GREAT time for them to inteact and know more friends. of course, we(SRJC- CCC students) also will benefit from this camp as we will learn to look after them and ENJOY OURSELVES!!!=D
Today is the First Day of Sibling Camp
I was early when I reached AWWA. I was a bit blur and don't know where to alight(don't know the stop). I was told to take bus 72 and alight at Hougang Point. Although I was feeling sleepy , I did not dare to close my eyes as I am scared that I may missed my stop. So embarrassing! The bus 72 stopped at a bus stop to allow people to board while I was indecisive(whether is it this bus stop or not?) Then, my intuition told my to alight, luckily the bus have not drove away from the bus stop. Next, I quickly paste the bell and alight and I saw Sean(CCC president) alighting from another bus 72 which was infront of me. This means I alighted at the CORRECT bus stop.=) Followed by, Sean and I walked through blocks of buildings to reach AWWA. Then, we reached there at 8.30am, SO EARLY!!! we were supposed to meet at 8.45am for a briefing. Next, we helped the volunteers with tables and chairs for registration and waited for the others to arrive.
Activitives
We played "Spilt, Spat" game and everyone was enjoying themsleves very much. There were too many people standing in the centre, making everyone confused and some very busy. Next,the children played "Musical Chair". They were very excited and nervous which they do not want to move from chair to chair and some of them keep holding the chair. They don't want to lose as there is FoRFEIT which is "BANANA Dance" or "CHICKEN Dance". The winner is out but she kind of cheated as she faced her butt at the chair and don't wan to move away from it, thus the others were not "Fu Qi" so we made the Winner dance "CHICKEN Dance" also. Furthermore, we played another game(don't know the name). The children were divided into 4 groups and facilitators(us) in to 2 groups. We ( factiliators) VS the children. This game is about using newspapers to move forward which our feet must always be stepping in the newspapers only.
Now the MOST FUN part, TREASURE HUNT!!!
The children were FULL of ENERGY. They keep running here and there while the factilitors were chasing behind. Breathless! Yeehui keeps saying" Don't Run, can WALK!" but nobody listens so all of us ran up and down. WOW! like we playing Amazing Race!=D Our group( Yeehui and I ) came in 3rd.
After that, we did some handicrafts which are pictureframes made of ice-cream sticks and finally frisbee tournament. The group which Yeehui and I were in-charged of won 1 , lose 1. Unfortunately, during the frisbee, 2 of the children were injured but their injury were not very serious.
Yeehui and I also meet a Female Dragon, Jing En. Although she looks very CUTE, she keeps bullying Yeehui and I, especially Yeehui. She demanded Yeehui and I to carry her to sit on top of many chairs stacked together, very high. She said Yeehui has no strength. WOW! Yeehui and I don't know carry her how many times up and down the stack of chairs, like got more than 10 times for each of us. No strength already lolx.. Then she bulllied Yeehui, trying to snatch her handphone. Then Yeehui went to keep her phone. It didn't end here, then she started to snatch Yeehui's bag and Yeehui was very scared that the bag spoiled because it's her sister bag. Then, I, of course tried to help Yeehui by pulling Jing En's hands away but she grabbed very tight and hard. Then she tried to kick me but i didn't get hit. Then i said" U naughty girl, let go of ur hands" and she kick me again. This time I was hit. If she were to be my daughter, I will already scold and beat her. Not only this, after that, she keep purposely steppin on my toes which I raised my voice and said"pain" and walked away from her.
She is a MONSTER!!!
Tomorrow is another long and tough day.
